Lecture on watches
As February comes to a close, we treated ourselves to our second inspiring excursion into the fascinating world of watches.
This time, we were hosted by Laufen, who kindly welcomed us into their beautiful showroom in Prague. Just like watchmaking, Laufen’s production is all about exceptional design—and they truly deliver it at the highest level. It was a pleasure to explore their space and craftsmanship firsthand.
We also celebrated an important milestone—our brand-new website launch , created in collaboration with Pandda Marketing. We were delighted to have their team join us for the event and to toast this achievement together with a glass of wine.
Our guide through the world of horology, Mr. Vejvoda, shared fascinating insights. Did you know that Prague hosted two major watch exhibitions in the past six months—Salon Exceptional Watches and Micro Praha—both featuring a record number of brands?
We admired not only the beauty and design of watches, but also their materials—often among the most precious—and, of course, their “heart”: the intricate mechanics.
Among the highlights were the legendary Atmos clocks, which can run for decades without winding, powered simply by tiny temperature changes —a true marvel of engineering. We were equally amazed by watches featuring planetariums and even time calibrated for Mars, where a week has eight days—tools that can help NASA experts control robots on the Red Planet.
Moments like these remind us how innovation, craftsmanship, and creativity can connect worlds—from design and architecture to science and space exploration.
Looking forward to more inspiring encounters ahead!
